Jason Andrew Revill was born on June 20, 1978 in Durham, North Carolina to Andy Revill and Margie Revill and has one younger brother, Jonathan Revill. He and I have been friends since Kindergarten. I remember playing “tanks” during nap time. It was a game where we made a fist and used our middle fingers as the tank turret and moved them around on the floor.
Jason and I lost touch around second grade when we weren’t in the same class anymore, but we found ourselves together again in sixth grade. I had thought he looked familiar, and I remember while we were in line or something else when we weren’t supposed to be talking he said something about knowing me. I think I cut him off saying, “Yeah. Shh.” I was way to straight laced and uptight, which is something Jason, with his dry humor and sarcastic wit, eventually helped me with. We have hours of video where we lip sync Monty Python skits.
Jason and I were roommates for three years in North Spencer dorm at UNC Greensboro and shared an apartment for another year after that. He’s currently living back in Durham, North Carolina, and he’s the friend I keep up with more than any other. Generally not a week goes by that I don’t talk to Jason on the phone at least a couple times.
