Work is killing me lately. Straight killing me.

Of course it’s good to be busy, but…

I skipped the gym again today because I had too much to do, and didn’t get the main thing I’ve been trying to get done because a website didn’t transfer properly so I spent time troubleshooting it before just rebuilding part of it myself. I’ve got two clients who want to get some sites done, two who need updates to their site, and one that has an event that needs to go live. The latter is the same one who needs the other main thing I’ve been trying to get done done.

And while I’ve got a team of people I can hand things off to now, a lot of the work above is included in free maintenance, which usually doesn’t bite me like it’s doing right now, so I handle that stuff myself. And the stuff I can hand off isn’t ready to be handed off yet.

But!

But…

Tristen sent me a thing she saw about a cartoon trivia night yesterday, so I decided to take her out to that. We enjoyed another trivia night we went to, where we won a best costume prize. (It was around Halloween and we dressed up as Dexter Morgan and a victim. And we actually did pretty well on the trivia part of it too.)

We ended up in third place, losing to second by half a point, and first by six and a half points. I’d point out that the first place team had twice the members as ours (which we named “We Named the Dog Indiana”), but second place only had half as many.

I have to say, my date was impressed with my knowledge of cartoons. She admitted that I mostly carried us, but she definitely got a few questions for us that I might not have gotten on my own.

We had a good time though. I had fun going out with my wife this evening, and I’d like to see if we could make it a somewhat regular thing.

Now back to work. HYAA!
